Each year, the PCC works with the Governor's office to have May designated as Bike Month. Of course, May is also National Bike Month. In 2012, Bike to Work Week is May 14-18 and Bike to Work Day is Friday, May 18.

SC Bike Month events

In years past, Bike Month events have occurred in dozens of cities across the state. From bike rodeos to bike movies, each May cities across the state celebrate the wonderful pursuit of bicycling. Check out our 2011 Bike Month round-up to see a few of the events that were planned.

For Bike Month 2012, the Coalition is teaming up with our friends across the Nation to take part in a fun and friendly bike month challenge—in which we will be asking you to log your miles spent on bike. Stay tuned for more on this exciting effort. Also, keep an eye on our events calendar for other upcoming Bike Month events in SC.
